Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) 11gR2 Reconciliation Events processing

This blog discusses the concept of reconciliation and sequencing of reconciliation events, functional flow of reconciliation data from an Identity Connector Framework based OIM connector to OIM repository, pros/cons of reconciliation sequencing, available options and the associated limitations.

The complete article is available on OTN(Oracle Technology Network)

  1. The different identity manager provides user-friendly solutions and many reporting tools to help the mangers of an organization.

  2. I agree! There are many Identity Management solutions available, each having its own key features.
The idea behind writing this article is more developer-centric than being business-centric. I have focused only on the aspect of sequencing reconciliation events in Oracle Identity Manager, and have not focused on the other reconciliation and reporting related features that OIM has, as that was not the primary purpose of the article.

  3. Hi.

Regarding you post on OTN (very well written, by the way :)), you mentioned that the value of number of threads used for submitting recon events creation batch is 1 by default, but that it can be configured in the ICF configuration lookup. Are you referring to the main configuration lookup in an ICF based connector? Or some other configuration lookup? I may need to change this value and I hope you can give me some pointers.

    Best regards,
